So we've decided to hire a motor home for our summer hols this year, we have been to France lots, but always in statics either Vendee or the south (St Raphael area). Has anyone any tips for a route south from Dover, where to visit, where to stop, what to see, etc, etc....
Open to any suggestions, and advice as to whether we need to book campsites or should we just see where we end up? We do want to have at least week somewhere near the beach too probably on the Med ( Frejus, Argeles or even Italian areas) so again should we book that in advance or look for smaller sites that we can just turn up at...?
Sorry if that's a load of questions but we are proper novices to the motor home thing so a big thanks in advance.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We were back down at Roquebrune Sur Argens, again last July and I would say probably best to book if going July/August, although with a MH you could probably wing it, as there will always be some place to park up for the night.
Lucky you hiring a MH, we used to hire a static back in the day, but once the prices in July, went past £500 per week, we knocked it on the head and started taking our own tent again.
