I was just wondering if anyone could provide me with a campsite that we could stay for 1 night whilst we visit the 38th (Welsh) Division Memorial, Mametz Wood.
We will be travelling from Calais on the day (early morning) and would ideally like somewhere fairly close by so that we could pitch up early afternoon and then visit the memorial late afternoon/early evening.

We have just returned from Albert. We stayed at Camping Le Vélodrome in Albert. It's a lovely site. It wont take you long from Calais to Albert, about a couple of hours.
A bit further on is the Camping Les Hortensias just the other side of Peronne. A tiny, pretty campsite on a farm with hydrangeas (hortensias) eeverywhere. Brilliant sanitaires in an outbuilding attached to the house.
