We're currently in the Black Forest, love it and thinking of next year. We're a family of 4 with 8 year old girls who like the sun, swimming and the occasional mountain walk to the huttes.

From your experiences what is better Black Forest or Bavaria? Also any recommendations of Bavarian sites with great swimming complexes nearby.

We like both. Playmobil land at Baden Wurtenburg was a favourite of our two when they were small.
