Has anyone been on the Dover - Calais ferry recently...are there any delays still at passport control?

We came home Friday was 3hrs early at Calais put us on earlier ferry no hold ups but was searched twice by armed police on French side and UK customs.

Came out thru Dover on the Friday, 19th of this month, around 11.30am no queues, no sign of extra security, bit busy due to time of year, but no problems. The roads where quite busy for France more so on a Saturday bit more busy northbound.

Just come back after two weeks away...there were no extra checks when we left at Dove, but coming back we were asked to open the boot so they could have a quick look. Didn't ask us to open the roofbox though, obviously realised how full the car was by the state of the boot and back seats!! There did seem to be a bigger police presence on the approach road to Calais, thought they were mostly standing around, not doing anything obvious.

Went out through Dover last week at 3am, straight through French passport control, never even looked at our passports, just waved us through.

I drove down the A2 into Dover at 09.00 this morning, and the queues were not very long at all - - maybe 10 vehicles in 2 lanes.
