Hi all we are newish members and have been very thankful of this website it's advice from seasoned campers and caravans. Thank you so much for a brilliant website forum. We purchased a cabanon discovery early this year in anticipation of a bit of solitude and hedonism given that ella is in recovery from breast cancer and this summer we adventured with our little cabanon to france.I have to recommend this campsite to everyone as it was amazing. Rustic quaint in the family for 75 years, hospitable family entertainment that bought everyone together from all corners of Europe with no barriers. If you want shade you have it, I'd you want quick drive to the beach which is so beautiful you have it, if want hypermarkets, yep they are there. If you want to spend a day in bordeaux easy peasy. If you want a family run run genuine lovely place to be then we do recommend la clos fleuri in medis, just outside of royan about an hour south west of la rochelle and 90 mi utes north of bordeaux it was an amazing 2 weeks. We are booking to go again next year but rather than me driving all the way in one hit we will look to pop up our 4 man for a camp down on a road trip each way next time and extend the holiday. St Georges de didone is beautiful everything there is what you ever need or want for peace harmony and just pure happiness. I totally recommend you check it out. And thank you to le clos fleuri for making our summer holiday not only one to remember, but to remember for every right reason.
