We are thinking of going to france in the summer but do`nt know if we can take our dogs with us any advice would be appreciated

I understand you can take your dogs to France but they will need a certificate which I think requires injections before they go and in France before you return to the UK. I am sure if you Googled for Defra they would have all the details there.

I think you have left it too late for this summer, you need to have the rabies injection done,then you have a wait of app 1 mth for confirmation that the inj has taken then you will be issued with a pet passport.You cant return to the U.K.untill 6 months after the date the passport was issued.
that takes you up to Jan 2006 at the earliest before you could return.
