I was thinking of using this site next year for overnights and knew it had been taken over. Dropped them an email about opening dates and times the office was open for new arrivals... Got this reply

So not much use if arriving off the evening ferry.
Thought it might be useful for others. I know there are alternatives quite close by.

Jaiash, But there are recent reviews on here saying they do still stay open for the ferry arriving at 2130. Is your e mail now saying that they don't.?
When I saw your post I emailed asking if the site would be open for us when arriving on the late ferry. The reply came back very quickly saying no problem. I would think a good proportion of their low season business is from late ferries.

That's what I asked them - and the above was their response. I hope they are open as it is the easiest site coming off that ferry.

They were open last August till late, as we arrived there at about 8pm, and others arrived well up to midnight.
We left early next day for the 1st ferry back.
They would be silly to not be open as there were easily 25 caravans all lined up for the morning boat.
We have been using this site for a few years as a first and last site as we arrive and depart France on early/late ferries. When we realised it had been taken over last year we were a little concerned about whether they would still have the same policies regarding late arrivals and early departures but we needn't have worried. Everything seemed the same as before with the office reopening for the late ferry and the security gate being opened very early in the morning for early departures for the first ferry of the day. The site is basic but extremely well situated for the ferry and we would definitely recommend it for a 1 night stopover at either end of your holiday.
