Azay le Rideau is very well placed for visiting the chateaux west of Tours - Chinon, Villandry, Usse and Azay itself.

It's only a short hop along the autoroute to those east of Tours - Amboise, Chenonceau, Blois, Chaumont etc can be reached in under an hour.

For us there is only one site to visit in the region and that is Les Saules in Cheverny. Ideally situated for all the Loire has to offer with a superb site and even better site owners. Laurent the site owner speaks perfect English and can give excellent advice on the areas attractions. Easy access to Super U and Auchen supermarkets. Great site for kids too but plenty of space for adults to chill. I recommend this site highly. ACSI too!!!
