We are going to drive to Stockholm in July, camping en route. We want to travel up through Denmark, get the boat across to Gothenberg and come back via the Oresund bridge. Does anyone have any useful advice regarding routes, campsites etc. Thanks.

We did it 19 years ago from Gothenburg. Signs for campsites were pretty useless then. We could never find them.
We stayed at Angby camping in Bromma whilst in Stockholm which was good then but seems to get some bad reviews now.

Thanks Ewen. We're actually booked into a cabin at Angby for the Stockholm bit to Visit new grandchild. I can't believe what we're paying a night for bunk beds, no toilet or running water! We walked round the site last October and I can see what you mean but it's walking distance to our sons flat and fits our purpose....hopefully satnav will help us find the campsites...

We went up via Oresund and got a ferry back to Poland from the South of Sweden.

We found plenty of campsites, all good quality and not much more expensive than in the UK for similar standards of facilities. We made use of many of the marina aires and campsites - good prices and great facilities.

There is a really good aire right in the centre of Copenhagen, you are driving by it to get from the Oresund bridge so worth a stop - its a a very secure carpark with loos and showers :) that said its perfectly placed and very secure and usually very busy.

We found Sweden very reasonable in terms of prices for campsites and food.

If you use LPG for cooking etc then be aware its hard to obtain in Sweden - think there were less than a handful of places that supplied and they were literally hundreds of miles apart.
