Hi guys
Thinking of going to Portugal with our caravan early next year we will probably do the crossing to Santander and would like to travel to Porto or Lisbon then end up in the Algarve. Can anyone recommend good campsites and places to visit on the way, any suggestions and tips would be appreciated.
Thanks gonkie

You can read my reviews of sites from last year when we circumnavigated Portugal and Spain ...
For Porto we camped at the Orbitur Magdalena ... handy for 'doing' the city ... for some reason I haven't reviewed it ... wasn't bad ... would give it 7.5/10
Unusual for their to be so few replies to this post!
Coincidentally, I was just about to post almost exactly the same request! We were thinking of the Portsmouth ferry and the heading towards Santiago de Compostelo down the coast Porto and then circling back via Salamanca.
Any advice with regards to the best months to go? May looks pretty poor weather-wise on that northern coast. Is June or September a better bet?
Thanks Kelper
I checked out your reviews & a couple of those sites sound good!
Porto also sounds a good location
Looks like you are experienced trvelers
