Hi, I know this may have been answered but I'm a bit lost and any help would be appreciated. First time camping next Monday and we've bought a triple mains kit from Halfords with a Blue 3 pin plug which we naively assumed was standard but on reading campsite pitch info it says connection is a regular European 2 pin plug (schuko). My question is can we buy an adaptor or have we bought the totally wrong thing. I've been back to Halfords since purchase to ask and they had no idea what I was talking about. Many thanks in advance.

You were ok to post your question here, but I saw the other thread first. Answered on there, and copied below...

Sorry for meant to say we're going o Spain.

Sounds like you have this sort of plug, which is standard, and in use on the majority of sites in the UK and France (and presumably Spain?)...

A few sites in Europe still have the old euro two-pin sockets (Schucko) so all you need is One of these...

Many on here advise you get one for Europe "just in case". I have one, and have been to 8 different sites in France, and not needed it yet. It's seems you're the lucky one, and will get to use yours straight away!

Shop around, as you will definitely find it cheaper.
The reason I have linked to the item at Halfords is to highlight my next point...

Halfords are a car accessory shop. Buy your camping gear from a camping shop, and chances are the staff will be able to advise accordingly. Halfords "didn't know what you were talking about", despite stocking/selling the exact item you needed (albeit it a website exclusive) 'Nuff said!

Go Outdoors do them, if you have one nearby, as would any reputable camping/caravanning shop.

If you don't take an adaptor, you'll need it.
