After several wonderful years camping in France we have decided to have a change. We would like to try Germany as a destination so any recommendations would be fantastic.
I have 4 children aged 12, 7, 4 and 2 (wife is also pregnant and due in January) so a good pool area, slides, etc would be great.
Thanks

I've not stayed myself but from comments on here I wonder whether Camping Muenstertal in the Black Forest might suit you. We've always enjoyed holidaying in Germany so hope you do too.
Can heartily recommend Landal Warsberg at the top of vineyard slopes above the town of Saarburg just across the French / Luxembourg border. A good pool and sauna area and great walking routes from site. Cable car from the site down into the town which has a train station, also not far from the Roman town of Trier and Luxembourg City.

I think the Black Forest area generally is well worth a family visit. With such a wide range of kids ages finding somewhere that suits all might be hard however.
I can wholeheartedly endorse Camping Munstertal mentioned by Jacqui and we will be returning for unprecedented third time to anywhere! But no slides or water park as such. Does have very nice indoor and outdoor pool and great play area and top notch facilities including ability to hire your own bathroom which would be great for families.
Europa Park well worth visiting for family fun for all ages
