Hi. We are thinking about hiring a small motorhome for a couple of weeks next summer in Portugal. We are usually tent campers and not ventured abroad camping since having our children. We have to go in August due to holiday leave restrictions. I've read up a bit but please can someone advise us whether we need to pre-book Aires given the height of the season? We would prefer not to if possible but will if necessary.

Any other tips very welcome.
Thank you.

There may be a very small number of privately owned Aires which take bookings, but that is very rare. The norm for the great majority of Aires is first come first served with no bookings possible.

Thank you. That's a great help. Do people tend to park up quite early? We usually have full days but will change around times if we need to.
