Advice please. Google maps has given me a choice of two routes from Dieppe to Nime, travelling on a Saturday. One is the toll A6 which goes around Paris an the other the A71. We're not towing on this occasion, so which would be my less stressful route?

When are you travelling? If during peak weeks in July then the advice might be very different to a Saturday in April, May or June, late August or September.
From Rouen just take the route past Chartres to Orleans. That avoids Paris & saves you a fair bit of toll. The road is ok. It’s a popular enough route.
