Hi, had a rough start to holiday yesterday, jockey wheel tightener sheared, managed to find stud extractors in a garden centre in Granville which is close by, I have a cordless and drills so should get it out clean
Need to find an outlet that would supply bits for a JW, also need something to catch my waste, left the Hogg at home because it’s a serviced pitch, wife wants the caravan in the opposite side, plumbing not an option, trip no4 still learning
I was in the middle of levelling up when it sheared so van sitting on blocks of wood at front :-(

Yes , so far been directed to a garden centre and sports superstore
Both had camping equipment but not jockey wheel parts or water carrier
Just seemed to be teenagers yesterday, will try to find a site manager today, they cut up some 4x4 for me while the van was sitting on my trolley jack , very helpful
I shot out in the car with mr google on the phone, tired boys from ferry
Blah blah
Had to fit the awning to get unpacked , knowing I’ll have to take it all down to level up
Boys are looking for holiday fun, I’m taking days to set up :-(

If you get you get the bolt out clean would not just a ordinary bolt and spanner get you by? A couple of nuts and a washer would give adjustment until you can source a replacement. Nuts and bolts are more readily available.
If you do search for "accessoires pour caravane, Granville" there seems to be several in that area including marine parts dealers and they use trailers a lot. Good luck.

I used a 12mm x 80 bolt and washer, the Alko clamp is open ended so the bolt just runs through about 10mm
Bought a 19mm ring spanner which fits perfect , that will get us home and JW useable if I need it, hopefully won’t need it, not heading up any single track roads to get stuck
Got the van reasonably level,

If you google 'Narbonne Accessories' then search near your locality, you may find a branch nearby. They generally have stuff like jockey wheels, and when we bought one, at a branch near Ruoms, it was cheaper than in the UK!!
You may have trouble getting a waste water hog as the continent caravanners mostly just use a bucket as they don't use aqua rolls ect, just a can to fill they kettle. Many times in France I have been stopped and asked about our aqua roll and why we have them. Good luck in your search.
