hi,
I'm thinking of going to northern France ( 2 hour maximum from the tunnel) between boxing day and New year's day. has anyone used a vet during that week before and can tell me which vets are likely to be open please?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We normally go the day after Boxing Day and return the day after New Years Day.
We have never had a problem finding a Vet but it depends on where you are going.
Larger Towns (Etaples, St Omer, Arras, Amiens, Neufchatel and others) will have at least one Vet open but village Vets may not be open.
We've used the Vets at Etaples and Mailleraye between Christmas and New Year but which ever Vet you want to use you should ring them to check they are open when you want to see them.
There is my recommended Vets Map at the top of this forum to help you find a Vet.
Hope this helps.
Boxing Day is not a bank holiday in France. We have a vets booked for our dog on Boxing Day near Disneyland Paris. They should all be open as normal. If you are only going for a few days you could see a vet here before travel instead.
