Hello,
Has anyone been here; "Camping Port de La Vall", it's just north of Roses (Spain)at a place called Port de la Selva.
I need a couple of weeks end of August, place for camper van with motorcycle on trailer to explore. Any comments about the site, or alternative sites in the area would be appreciated.
Regards
JohnT
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I haven't been there, but it isn't very likely that I would as 24% of people who have reviewed it on TripAdvisor have rated it as 'terrible'. OK most of the reviews are a few years old, but within a few miles there are much better sites, and it's easy enough to visit Port de la Selva from most of them.
If you get Port de la Selva up on google maps, and then use the 'nearby' search for 'camping' lots of other sites will come up and you can click on them and see the review scores. Some are much higher......... and then you can link to those sites and see if they suit you.
Is there a particular type of site you would prefer? Camping Mas Nou, slightly inland from the Bay of Roses, takes the ACSI Card from 25th August, making it just 18 euros per night for pitch, tent/whatever, and two person, and includes electricity.
We have stayed there a couple of times. Pitches will be large enough(if a bit tight). Loads to see insurrounding area. The large nature reserve is on the doorstep, Rosas and Girona are very close.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
