Advice please.
Setting off with camper and motorcycle on trailer for a two week stay around the Dordogne area. Not necessarily by the river, could anyone recommend a site within walking distance of a town for evening meals.
Thanks
Johnt

Thanks' for the suggestions. Now booked into (at least I think I am) the site in Eymet for a week. See how it goes but I now have a few options if I need to move or for a second week.

The lease was re newed this year and I believe Philipe retired.I was after the lease but mrs KBW didn’t want to do the campsite thing again.
Eymet is a good base, all the towns I listed above are 30 minute drive.

Try the municipal at Cenac et St Julien right on the Dordogne a few km south of Sarlat and a fairly short walk to 3 decent restaurants (well - Chez Les Filles is a whole lot better than decent - 25 euro 3 course meal including amuse bouche and decent wine around the 18 - 25 euro mark - also do by the glass at 3.5 euro per glass ).
"Town" also has boulangeries, boucherie, wine shop, decent size supermarket, take away pizza, 24/7 petrol at supermarket prices, market every Tuesday, cash point etc etc.
10 mins from major attractions like Domme, Roque Gageac, Catlenaud, Marqueyssac gardens, Beynac and of course Sarlat.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
