We have been twice and the site we stayed on was a dump the second time we went. There are a couple of good sites but nothing within walking distance of the town and beach. We really enjoyed the place and the area. Cycled to Geurande which is about 10 miles off road cycle path, lovely town lovely market.
La Croissic and the place at the other end of the bay gave some great restaurants. Brilliant for fish lovers.
A very well maintained site with large, sandy pitches (some sloping) and a covered swimming pool. It was just over €19 a night with the ACSI card, including tax.
The area is excellent for cycling. We cycled on back lanes and offroad into La Baule, easily. Just down the road, Le Croisic is a lovely spot with some good restaurants and the walk around the headland one to try, if you are fit. Beautiful coastal scenery. Nearby Guerande, a medieval walled town is also worth a visit.
We were caught in storm 'Miguel' with 130kph winds and the awning up when on the site! With hindsight, we should have dropped it before the winds became too strong but missed the opportunity. It does say something about the resilience of an Isabella awning though (and my pegging)
So, would really recommend both the site and the area.
