We spent a beautiful day in August 2018 with my daughter and the grandchildren. We drove up Mount Ventoux. A memorable morning. We have the photos.

On the way back to the campsite we stopped for lunch at a restaurant in Malaucéne, the Abri du Ventoux.

My daughter and I had the most delicious meal. It was white fish with a dill (aneth) sauce.

I know there are some enthusiastic cooks on here, does anyone have a recipe with which I could try to resurrect this meal?

I have googled and they all sound great. I have even googled in French and translated the result.

But I would like to have more confidence that it will be something like we remember. Anyone !?

It's probably a beurre blanc flavoured with dill. BBC Food Recipe.

Yes, thank you Beanie, it was quite a white sauce, that's why I thought it would have had cream in it. In consistency it was like parsley sauce.

I am going to try all the recipes people suggest. I love fish and love the flavour of dill.

Off to Sainsburys tomorrow, with mask, to get the ingredients.
