It's absolutely tranquil here in the Ardèche, the weather is glorious, river fantastic, food amazing. Social distancing on site is no problem at all and everyone is wearing masks in supermarkets.
It really does make the necessary hoops to get here (and back again) seem minimal.
Where are you Lidds0? We're going up to the Ardeche tomorrow to 'winterise' our caravan which is stored there, and to repair a Heki rooflight, replacing the gas struts. We shall be near Ruoms? Are you anywhere nearby?
Sorry Val, only just seen this. And yes, we are near Ruoms (and still having a lovely, relaxing time).
Shame we missed you, but you can't have been on our site, because we were the first people from the UK to have stayed there all year. Sadly, time pressure meant we had only a few days there, and are now at the end of our ninety days in France, and heading for Eurotunnel tomorrow. Fortunately that means we will see our two grandchildren who both started school this week, and catch up with our friends and families before we head back to France in December to finish the work on our house.

There's only one other British family on the site where we are right now.
5 days of rain is forecast all over France from Monday so it sounds like you're leaving at the most appropriate moment, Val. Mind you, storms were forecast last week too and we only had a smattering of rain one evening and overnight, so it might amount to nothing (fingers crossed!).
Wishing you a safe journey home tomorrow.
