We are looking for basic insurance for an old touring van that is garaged on a French campsite. It has been there 11 years without insurance but now new campsite owners require insurance. So just a basic policy will be fine.

I think the only UK insurance that will cover a caravan stored abroad is Towergate so that is your choice unless there are others. You will need to pay the extra premium for European use. I had a 1995 caravan until last year. Towergate charged me £70pa including European use.
