Hi all Just heard news no quarantine now from returning from Spain France.
Living in Spain but want to travel to Caen to get ferry any one know best place to get lateral flow test there for return to England.

Dotto, just noticed you said you live in Spain, did you get vaccinated there? because the new requirements only apply to, and I quote from Grant Shapps
"UK residents who are fully vaccinated through the UK vaccine roll out will no longer have to self isolate when they return to England"
Make of that what you will as I don't know your situation

yes Big Roy have found this out. We have both been vaccinated in Spain have certificate to prove it. What is the difference can not make this out at all. Why can we not go to England but all the English can come here.

I wish I could answer that, It's probably got something to do with the NHS app, they're just making it up as they go along, nothing makes any sense, it's all political now and not a lot to do with the virus but hang on in there it will probably change next week
Each country set their own rules for entry,Spain relaxed their rules for UK tourists to revive their tourism industry the UK being a major source.
Spain isn't the main source of tourists to the UK.

It's not just the UK, France won't accept French nationals who live abroad who have had their jabs because they don't conform to the EU Covid passport.
There is also concern at the rise in forged documents that can't be verified by a QR code.
