Sorry to jump on this post , but before Covid we were thinking of getting a second caravan and keeping it in France so could di ask a couple of questions?
Do you have french or uk caravans which you keep in France?
Where do you store?
Are there plenty of storage places
How much is it to store over there?
Anything else we would need to take account of?
Thanks in advance for any replies

We have a U.K. caravan but others have French ones.
We now store between Angers and Cholet but there are loads of storage places in various parts of France (see link from Oxter). Some people use a storage only facility, others store on a campsite which gives them the option of having the van put on a pitch ready for when they arrive.
Cost varies as over here, but generally tends to be cheaper than in the U.K.
You may need to think about insurance (at the moment either Towergate or Camping and Caravanning Club will insure a van stored in France full time) and servicing.
You may also want to think about where in France you would want to store, as you need to take travelling to the van into account, not just where you might want to holiday.
If you use a U.K. gas bottle you will need to fetch gas from home, or change over to a French system.
When we used an outdoor storage we used a small solar panel in the sky-light when we left the van to keep the leisure battery topped up, but now the van is in indoor storage we take the battery home at the end of the summer and fetch it back on our next visit. If we’re going to return before too long, we just leave it in the van, but disconnected.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

I too apologise for jumping in, but as a campervanner, who quite often thinks of getting a caravan to store in either France or the UK, what do you do about leisure batteries?

I have to top mine up every two months, which is easy when it is on your front drive. Do you bring the battery away with you or do you just leave it and it works OK next year?

Mantovani, I hope what I put in my last post answers your question.
