I can't seem to find, despite reading lots of Covid information, whether, when you fill in the necessary entry forms for Spain and Portugal, you have to state exact destination/s.

We never book sites in Europe and travel as and when and wherever the fancy takes us. Is this currently allowed? Perhaps someone already there can let us know.

Also, is it easy to get a PCR test in Spain before going into Portugal and what is the current cost, please?

Any information from fellow travellers would help our planning. Many thanks.

Search for the Re-open EU app & put it on your phone. Tells you what you need to know. I think you will find though that once you have entered EU space say through Calais with required paperwork then you are free to drive over open borders within EU.

We drove through France last Sept through Belgium into Holland to get ferry home from Hook with no problems.

Thanks Billy.
It's Portugal that still seems to be requiring PCR before entering. We'd be using the ferry to Spain first.

If you read that app I pointed you towards Noddy it seems to suggest if you enter Portugal by land it appears you may not need a test or to fill out a Portugal locator form. I would guess though you would need to spend a week or 10 days in Spain rather than drive straight to Portugal from the ferry. In any case you can take a cheaper antigen test not a pcr. You can buy antigen test kits in UK before you travel.

Thanks Billy,
There's a lot of advice to go through and as it changes regularly we are hanging on to see what happens.
Weekly updates of the rules for different countries are available from Gov.UK. so we'll keep an eye on them.
Thanks for your interest.
Noddy
