Hi all
I am thinking about taking the caravan to France this summer (haven't been since 2019).
Usually we would travel to somewhere like the Dordogne with a few nights stops on the way down and a few nights stop on the way back.
I am slightly anti-social (I don't like really busy sites) so we tend to do this for the second fortnight in August (when the French and Dutch schools have gone back).
This year however, we *have* to go sometime between schools breaking up (23rd July) and about the 18th August (A level results).
So my impossible ask is this....does anyone know a nice site, perhaps anywhere on the Atlantic coast that will be quiet (so perhaps not too many plots), within easy reach of the sea and has large emplacements? We don't need (or want) an extensive entertainment roster at the site but a pool and a small bar would be a plus. We don't mind paying a premium for the right site.
All suggestions gratefully received.

There’s a review of mine on here for Camping Beausoleil at La Palmyre in Charente Maritime which you might to look at along with their website. It was 2018 when we were last there but I doubt if it has changed.

Not sure how ‘quiet’ it will be, but Camping Baie d’aunis at La Tranche sur mer is a relatively simple site, it has a pool and is right on the coast. There’s a nice bar and restaurant immediately outside the gates. The main part of the site could br quite hectic by then, but there are some pitches right at the back of the site which are more secluded.

We like this site too, though we’ve only been out of peak season. Really well situated for the town, port, beach, shops and market etc.
