Looking for a small / medium campsite with pool in the vendée within walking distance to a village, for a bar, shop restaurant .
Anyone who has information on guided walking in the area?

I was going to say welcome to UKCS, as it’s your first post. But you joined in 2008, so you’ve been camping for many years & presumably you’ve been looking at threads that might be helpful.

The only one I know personally which might suit your wish list is at Courcon - 20 miles inland from La Rochelle so just outside the southern edge of the Vendee departement. It was a municipal site called Camping La Garenne but has been privatised , smartened, and is now called La Mouette Rieuse. But still a smallish site, close to village facilities , and has the pool you asked for - but it’s inland rather than coastal.

I know I recommend it a lot, but Camping la Baie D’ Aunis ticks all these boxes. Simple pool, right on a gorgeous beach, and 15 mins walk from La Tranche sur Mer, which has a weekly market, shops, bars and restaurants. Oh and there’s a water sports centre opposite !
Wed can recommend La Falaise in La Turballe. You are right on the beach. Easy walk into town. Supermarket within walking distance. Pool on site plus a snack type restaurant. Nice walks around the area.
