Just wondered what the fuel prices in Germany are like? We are currently in France and they have risen over the last few weeks although I have heard they should reduce on Monday! 🤞

One thing to watch in Germany is that prices change throughout the day, this has been the case for years. So you can see one price in the morning and another in the afternoon and this will repeat itself the following day!

Thanks for the information Fiona, is this countrywide do you know? 😱
As I said, I’m in UK (ie west Scotland). Hopefully not a problem for you in Germany but we’re going nowhere far just now.
I was just wanting to highlight that prices & also availability may vary; you haven’t specified if your ‘fuel’ is petrol or diesel.

Not just Germany, but here in UK
We were out for a walk this afternoon in our village and strolled past the local BP filling station. I noted the cost of diesel was 178.9.
It took us about 20 minutes to stroll to the end of that road and turned back. As we approached the filling station I noticed that the cost had now gone to 18i.9.
We have decided our car will now only be used for those journeys where a car is essential. If we can use the bus, then that is free on our passes.

Diesel €2.20 today in Germany, so less in France
Costs a wee bit less in W Scotland too but still going up, if you can find it. There’s been no diesel at any of our 4 local supermarkets for over a week, but a small Jet station had it today - whew!

That must be worrying Fiona, let’s hope it improves for people needing to use their vehicles 😱
