Hull - Zeebrugge going was bad enough. Fingers crossed P&O don't fold completely. The options for crossing to the continent have declined terribly in the last ten years or so.
Hoping they haven't collapsed! Deeply miss their western Channel and Spanish services. Never liked Brittany and their eye watering prices when they became the only option!
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?

Just seen the BBC news article, seems a strange way NOT to go bust!
Going to be a LOT of disgruntled customers who will be reluctant to go back to them if/when they do start operating again!
They've been winding down their ferry operations for years, is this the end altogether! I hope it's not the end, preferred them to rival operators on many of the routes I used to take with them. I guess we just have to await further news.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
P&Os action (if this turns out to be true) is disgraceful, and I would have thought, against UK and EU law. I shall never use them again if this turns out to be the true reason for this 'Shutdown'.
Not quite as simple as that though. If P&O simply cease to operate from now on we will have shortages of fresh produce & traffic chaos in Kent. The government will have to fix this quick.

The Pride of Hull is currently docked in Hull , the Dutch captain has raised the gangway and in support of his crew is refusing to let anybody board the vessel. It seems an awful way for P&O to treat the workforce and could be a huge own goal
I am due to cross Dover/Calais next week in my car but to be sure of a crossing I have just booked DFDS for the same dates, and will change my P&O crossing till later in the year. I was very surprised that DFDS were just £150 return, I was expecting it to be higher than that in the present circumstances.
P&O run one of the two crossings from Cairnryan to N Ireland. It’s a major employer in Stranraer & no doubt N Ireland. I don’t know who they’re bringing in to a relatively remote part of Scotland (compared to Hull or the Channel) but how strange! to pay foreign nationals in their own currency I presume? as there’s a minimum wage here; they’ll need visas, and accommodation.
One to watch over the next few days.
