Hi,
I'm trying to remember the name/location of a campsite we've stayed on several times for overnight stops en-route southwest in France. Does anyone recognise this description:
North West France within striking distance of (but not close to) Calais.
It's in a town which you drive through slightly and turn right to the campsite.
Small/medium size.
It's alongside a lake/canal/river.
Always has ducks.
Has a very small restaurant near the entrance.
Relatively segregated pitches.
????

Ah well, if you had posted a review on UKCS you could check your profile as the site review would be there & you’d know for sure. It’s the only way I can confirm somewhere we went to years ago.

I agree. I also keep a notebook so that I can do a review when I return. I also have receipts from stays for a number of years - as a cost comparison really. Sad, I know!

Could it be Camping Neuville near Le Mans? I haven't been there yet, but will be going in a couple of weeks time. The description seems to fit.
This is a little further from Calais than I recall we travelled.
Looks good, hope you enjoy it.

I too keep receipts from Camping Holidays but I'm struggling to find one that rings a bell for that site. Usually my memory is sufficient but now I'm getting older ... nothing works so well!
As regards JoannaLesley's suggestion, "if you had posted a review on UKCS you could check your profile as the site review would be there & you’d know for sure." ... We always tour when in France and have visited every year for years (until the pandemic) so a LOT of sites. Also as we only stay a couple of days or so it doesn't seem fair to offer reviews.

We have been touring in France for over 20 years, seldom stay at any site for more than 1 night, and I always review.
You must have more time to spare than me!
