Requirement for masks on public transport ends on May 16th, so I expect Brittany Ferries will change their advice.  Masks no longer required on French Public Transport

We always wear a mask in shops but have found that very few French people do.( However it seems obligatory in the pharmacists)

The further south we go the fewer masks have been evident

My daughter's partner flew back to Italy last week to sort out his passport. He was told he couldn't board the flight as he had the wrong quality facemask. Luckily another person in the line had a spare of the correct grade. This is their rules at the moment.

Italy's current rules specify that higher-grade FFP2 masks should be worn on all forms of public transport, including buses, trams, regional and high-speed trains, ferries, and planes.

This is for information so anybody else doesn't get caught out. I believe there are three other countries that have retained the facemasks, Germany being one.

Had this from BF yesterday afternoon after asking the question earlier and them saying they were awaiting confirmation.

There is no longer a requirement to wear masks on board
