Hi,
We have 29 nights in our PVC but would happily do the same trip using our folding camper.
Overnight ferry to Caen then stop north of Limoges, then Les Bastides, Cahuzac sur Vere, Les Sablons, Portiragnes Plage, Camping Cevennes Provence, Anduze, Camping de Nieres, Ebreuil & lastly La Bien Assise, Guines,

Turn left at limoges and spend some time in Haute Vienne, lovely countryside, steeped in recent history, and of course the porcelain.

Les Sablons, Portiragnes Plage, we’ve stayed there for many years. It’s a big commercial site right on the beach with lots of facilities most of which we don’t use but the sports area is brilliant & that we use on a daily basis

Another vote for Les Sablons.
Stayed there in 2017 and it had a very nice adult only pool area. Didn’t think it would be of interest but it was certainly a highlight of the site.
We liked the site so much we decided to extend the stay but when was asked discovered that the site was full booked due to a massive influx of Germans due to their Whitsun holidays.
On the day we left, quite early, there was a queue of more than a dozen vans.
A week in the Loire for the history, 2 weeks in Dordogne for the relaxation and scenery, a week in Vendee for the sea and sun, a nice circular route no more than 400/500km per journey.
Or shorten Dordogne to 1 week and add an Auvergne week after Loire.

Sounds like a good detour: any recommendations for aires/campsites in the area?
Haute Vienne that is, didn’t do that very well🤨
