One of our favourite sites (partly due to the charming owner) was at Trebes. I know that they had flooding problems some years ago, but does anyone know whether they have ever reopened?

Yes, sorry. I assumed Joanna meant Camping La Commanderie at Rustiques, which is 3 km away from Trebes. Friends of ours stay there regularly, still, and highly recommend it as a good alternative to Microcouliers if that's the site Joanne meant. It has an owner very similar to Joanna's description, who takes great pride in the site, and is only too willing to help out with anything you need.
Yes, I did mean Ombre des Micocouliers. We have stopped there a number of times. I think it's unlikely that we will get into Aude this year, but will remember the site at Rustiques for the future.
