Hi all.
A few years ago I was in the South of France staying near Frejus. We went to St Tropez for a trip and on the way back to Frejus we stopped at a beach which was not far from St Tropez. When on this beach you could see St Tropez across the water.
I was telling a friend about it, but I cannnot for the life of me remember what it was called.
A bit vague I know.
I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable people had by chance been there and could recall the name.

Ste Maxime - fantastic views of St Tropez from the Plage Bianca Cabana, but possibly any of the beaches on the drive from Port Grimaud to Ste Maxime. You used to be able to get a water taxi from Ste Maxine to St Tropez which is a really nice way of arriving there and avoiding the inevitable traffic queues.
We stayed at Camping des Mures in 2017, between Port Grimaud and St Maxime - from the beach you could see St Tropez and some of the rather large private yachts anchored in the bay which were serviced by helicopters. Probably owned by Putin's cronies.

In the early 80's, we stayed on a large site with statics and tourers. I think it was Toison d'Or in Ramatuelle and it was on the Pampellone beach. The parents of a work colleague had several caravans there. It was semi-naturist and there were beaches nearby which were naturist only, but there were no hard and fast rules. The Germans were invariably naturist and a lot of Brits were a bit prude about it, so I don't know what they were doing there. Brigitte Bardot's villa was along there and I remember seeing Charles Aznavour hop off a scooter outside a hotel in Saint Trop. Memorable holidays and we found affordable places to eat. Wouldn't be able to stand the heat in peak season now. The first time we went there was by coach with no air con - never again!
I found their website Trixie. It's changed a lot since we were there. I remember walking to the nearby Chateau and buying wine by the gallon for peanuts. Had to take your own container. If only we could go back in time.
