Several times in the past I have offered my ACSI card book (and card) when we have received two copies, or when we haven't been able to use it. This time, somehow, we have lost our card between our April holiday when we used it, and now. We've had all sorts of famiy crises between and obviously just not been careful enough when 'recycling'. We're going back to France shortly and will need an ACSI card for the last week in August.
Can I ask, please, if anyone received two copies and has a spare we could have, or if anyone hasn't used their own copy this year. Happy to pay a reasonable amount. Contact me either in this thread, or on my email address which is on my profile. Thank you so much for any help.

Hi Val, ours is unused so far.. and probably won't be but will know at the start of September, if you haven't got one before.
Hi Grahame, if Val gets fixed up before September, and you won't be using it, could I please be 2nd in line for it? We've decided to go for it and booked the tunnel for the 2nd week in September.

Yes! Just realised Val needs it for Last week of Aug as we come back. So may be difficult to get it to her?

Thanks. Yes, she said last week of August. Anyway, see what she says and we'll take it from there.
Thanks both of you, but two very kind people have offered me their unused cards! I very much appreciate your help - and that of the other kind people from this or another forum.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

We were with ACSI for approx 15 years, decided to cancel in 2020 due to covid & both 70+ now. It's been a nightmare, we decided to give camping one last try this year 2022. ACSI took our money for camping & IDcards & said it was for 2021, but we cancelled in 2020, they said, but we still sent the books in 2021, then we found they'd taken it twice + taken money for ID cards for 2021 & 2022, the latter twice. When we discovered this shambles, we told ACSI to cancel & refund all money paid since we cancelled in 2020, they refunded one payment of €14.95, they'd taken twice only 3 weeks ago, told us they'd refunded all but they haven't, contacted our bank & ACSI told them it was all refunded, it hasn't been. By my reckoning, they owe us €29.80, now they ignore my emails, since cost us £9 in phone calls. They have worn us down into giving up. Put it down to experience, never again. Over the more recent years before covid, we rarely were able to get discounts, only the tired sites accepted ACSI, the good sites that used to, had stopped. It was good for a few years, not now. Biggest issue now is trying to stop ACSI from helping themselves to our money by direct debit, we have tried to stop it, not good.

Go into your bank (or on-line account) and cancel your direct debit(s).
We have continued to use ACSI through Covid, having holidayed for three months in 2020 and 2021, using ACSI for some of that time. I think your experiences are not typical and there are many first-class sites which take the ACSI card and offer you a choice of pitches. We shall be saving 24 euros per night on a site in August this year, choice of pitches, and so will stick with it.

No not for this year, next year and coming years.
Direct from the ACSI card website, www.campingcard.co.uk - choosing whichever subscription is the cheapest. Or for a little more, from Vicarious Books in Folkestone if you don't want to chance the experience of the above poster (which I don't think is typical).

I know a subscription is the cheapest, but for just a few £ more I've always ordered from Vicarious or the C&CC, never wanted to commit to a subscription. I do remember that there was a thread a couple of years ago on UKCS about people wanting to cancel their subscription and had problems doing so. Not able to contact them seemed to be a praticular problem. Obviously out of the number of people who have a subscription, those will be a minority, but I must admit I've always been wary of committing to it myself.
The scheme itself is brilliant and over the years we've saved a considerable amount of money, although it does vary from site to site of course.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
