We would like to explore the Limousin over the next few years and we are looking for a campsite with very particular specifications.
We'd like a site with a pool and a basic shop /near to a small village. Preferably alongside water. We've been very spoiled in the Dordogne being by a beautiful river to swim in.
It's a multi-family group with people flying in and also an elderly parent. We like our tent but my mum needs a mobile home or similar with a bathroom. The family flying in obviously don't have any kit but are happy to use pre-erected tents with all the kit included.
We'd like to bring our touring caravan to increase options (especially for my mum) but don't want to tow from Scotland each time. Would like caravan storage who can service somewhere between Calais and Limoges.
Has anyone used a campsite that would fit thisvery specific brief?
Thank you in advance!

For servicing look at Caravan Help Abroad. They go round many sites in different areas, so have a look at their website to see where they go. We store in France but not at one of the sites they visit, so meet up with them while we are over on holiday at one of the sites where they are servicing vans. I can highly recommend them for carrying out the servicing - efficient, very accommodating and reasonable pricing, with excellent email communications.

Us too, and Kris visited us on our campsite in the Ardeche last year. It's not a site on his list, but he was happy to drop in on a trip between two sites where he does servicing.
We store in the Ardeche, on a site which would exactly fit your bill, but unfortunately we're having to move it this year, so we're looking for somewhere else. I shall read any other replies with interest.

Did Domaine de St Pierre not work for you Val?
Fiona
Family issues have stopped us really following it up over this winter - that and not having yet decided quite where we want to be. Ideally we would like a campsite with storage directly on site, but I may pick your brains again, via email, if that's OK with you.

Val, have you looked at the sites which Kris already visits?
