Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Best to contact Brittany ferries via french office. More helpfull that uk ports, plus they speak very good english. We had to switch ferry ports last Aug as our towbar snapped en-route to Plymouth. We was at witts end with english offices, so in desparation spoke to office in france who were wunderful amd couldnt do enough for us.

"The Med" in Spain extends all the way from the French border to Gibraltar. Reckon a good half of this, the southern end, is the same distance or less from Santander . As you point out, the Algarve, another popular winter destination, is closer to Santander.
If you're going for a long stay in the winter, what is the additional cost of 50 miles? 10 euro or less? And as a percentage of the total cost of the holiday..............
