Absolutely loved Germany.
Our tour in the MH started with Phantasia land for the (big) kids, followed with Moselle valley, and down to the Black forest. Rudesheim was great (google Rudesheim ring).
One of our best holidays ever. Planning on visiting Bavaria this summer.

We enjoyed Rudesheim and the Rhein, but really loved the Moselle Valley. We stayed at a site in a little place called Krov (with our dog), went on a boat trip up the river (dogs accepted free on the boat), lots of lovely walks through the vineyards - and the most amazing ice-cream creations in the local ice-cream parlour (the Eis Ecke, I think it was
called) - also dog-friendly.
We've got our bags packed and are off to Mainz for the Johannesfest celebrations. 4 days of music, food, drinks art, culture etc.. all beside the Rhine. This is an annual event, so think about it for next year.
Hope to take the train to Rudesheim and Koblenz. Fantastic cable car across the Rhine to a large fort with great views of the Rhine and Mosel.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
We spent a few years in the former Bundesrepublic ( cold war time). We were tenters at the time and had some great trips to Rhine and Moselle. Liked Cochem, Bernkastel,and Rudesheim. Bavaria German Alps and Austria and Switzerland were also visited, Netherlands too, as our base was right by the border.

We have done a couple of river cruises in the last couple of years which we can thoroughly recommend.
It was interesting to go into the former East and Berlin.

In my opinion Germany has not got much more. been there a few times hate the place.
