Got an email last night from Royal Mail that the 2025 edition of France Passion is on the way.
Looking forward to this as we plan to make greater use of FP sites when in France.
Yes I have the app and yes, there's the website but they won't update with the 2025 sites until 1st March and having the book in my grubby mitts brings a bit of joy during the dark winter months.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
There are quite a few sites in the guide that still, in this day and age, don't have an internet presence in any form.
We've been asked for our card a few times and a few times we haven't, it's up to the owner but as you say, most are happy for you to stay, even happier if you buy something.
We’re interested in the concept of whether you can stay without the card - we always seem to be in areas where there are very few if any FP, but this year as we are doing a big circle there’s a chance we might use one. They are all shown and mainly described on Search For Sites so locating them is not a problem, but it’s not worth us buying the book/card for the off chance of one night. However, if we did stay, we’d definitely buy some produce !
Tried FP for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a time to forget.
Let down badly by the owners and ourselves and a German couple were left extremely frustrated by the whole experience.
Not good for our first taste of it.
Also not handy that you can't leave constructive or negative feedback on FP, so to me that means you have to read the reviews very carefully.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

You can leave a review in FP, you can give the facilities and your experience separate star ratings. You can write your comments in English and the system will generate a French translation.
I've rejected quite a few locations based upon the negative comments in the FP reviews.
I'm perfectly aware you can leave reviews, but byandlarge mostly all negative reviews are not published.
Which completely defeats the purpose of a review system I would have thought.
