We travelled on the A13 autoroute between junctions 13 (Bourg Achard) and 15 Rouen on both our outward and return journeys to south west France on our recent holiday.
The route now has no toll booths and tolls are to paid online within 72 hours. However, both times despite checking the website several times and registering a credit card for auto pay there are no journeys logged against our car and no payments have been taken. I did try to ring the helpline but after being kept on hold for 15 minutes the call was cut off.
Has anyone else any experience of using this road and paying the toll?

I admit to being confused. We have an ATMB tag, which we have had for a number of years. Does this mean that we will be recognised and charged through our credit card as usual? Or do I have to register and pay separately?

On the Aliae express website it shows ways to pay. One is using your tag. As more of the autoroutes are likely to go that way, I think I will get a tag next year.
It refers to the A79 which does have payment machines at the services.
I assume the ATMB tag works on all autoroutes?

If you mean the short stretch of toll on A13 from Rouen to N154 that can be easily avoided without much extra time. Coming from N154 direction go off on slip road before peage follow green signs to Rouen then at roundabout before Pont-de-la-l’Arche turn left back onto A13 for Calais or Dieppe.

Whenever you go under one of the new gantries your tag will bleep.
Thanks for the route advice Swifty but we've already travelled on the stretch of the A13 in both directions between junctions 13 and 15. However, despite checking the Sanef freeflow website multiple times no journeys are registered against our car. Just hoping that we don't get a retrospective charge, although I have numerous screenshots showing that we checked the website so I'm ready to contest it!.

Relax Jo, your tag will deal with the payments. Separate payment is only for those who don’t have a tag.
Thank you.

Thanks. Good to know.

A question for tag holders. When you are solo the toll is lower than when you tow a caravan. Do you just use the lane for bigger vehicles when towing or do you have to specify the class of vehicle when you buy the tag?

You don't specify anything when you buy the tag.
I always use the 30kph lane, normally far right, as it normally means not even stopping. All the trucks use this lane.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
