We’re staying at Villedieu de Poeles for couple of nights on our way back to the tunnel. I had booked Blangy due Bresly for our last night, but realise it’s too far to the tunnel, about 85miles, about 1.30 hrs away. We have a 250mile journey (same day)once we arrive back in UK. Can anyone suggest anything a bit closer?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

If I were at Villedieu Les Poeles, with Caen ferryport so close that’s where I would go instead of driving another 250 miles up to Calais, and then facing another 250 miles including the M25 when I got back to UK.
We stay at L’escale in Wacquinhen it takes ACSI. We like it as it is only 20 minutes away from the tunnel. It is only about 1/2 mile from the A16, there is no motorway noise. You can arrive anytime, if it is after 5pm find a pitch on the enclosed field set up including electric then pay in reception in the morning. It has a very nice restaurant on sight.

We have our dogs with us and prefer the short tunnel crossing. I wouldn’t be happy leaving them in the car, they would be scared.
We’ve stayed at Sangatte as well several times before the tunnel. Does the job and a bracing walk along the promenade watching the ferries as well!
