Hi all, new to this group. I am thinking of going to Italy and was wondering if anyone had gone camping there and could recommend a great place to pitch a tent with electric. Thanks.

If you drive through the Mont Blanc tunnel and as soon as you emerge into Italy turn right into Val Veni. There are several campsites in the valley in stunning scenery, and I suggest you look at the website and photos for Hobo camping
Welcome to UKCS, someone will suggest specific sites soon (though an idea of roughly where you might like to go might help).
Meanwhile, check out the site search facility here, it shows 189 sites in Italy but I have not ticked the box for tent, EHU, toilets or anything else you might want, which will reduce that number. Then read the first few reviews of the sites with a score of 9 or 10 out of 10.
Happy browsing.

We've used nearby La Sorgente a couple of times. Amazing when you look up to Mont Blanc towering above you and you realise you're camping at the height of the top of Ben Nevis!
Bar does decent takeaway food.
Walk along the valley bottom for a couple of km SW highly recommended.
We really liked the Site, Quite Busy though, but very well organised with a couple of pools, Bar, Restaurannt and a Large Shop.
It had EV Charging point, as Well a bus stop just outside of the site, a 10 min walk took you to an small Suburb with Bars and Restaurants for "Locals" which we throughly enjoyed, and there was a station there if you wished to get the train elsewhere.
------------- Best Regards
Nathan
