We are looking for recommendations for campsites for next August that are in the Bordeaux region. We like yellohvillage campsites because they have lots to do on site. The campsite must have an English speaking kids club, a pool with slides, pitches that are at least 100 metres squared. We would like a restaurant and takeaway. We do like to be near the sea but are happy to look inland if there is lots to do.
We are not fussed if it is not a yellohvillage but would like the campsite to have some English so our 6 year old can make friends.
Sorry for the long list
Thanks

I think Le Logis de Breuil ticks most of your boxes , though I am not sure about the English speaking kids club - but with a couple of hundred British children on site you may be able to live without that. It sometimes seems that almost everyone on site is British. The site is about 75 miles north of Bordeaux and a few miles inland so you will need drive to the beach - if you can tear your six year old away from the on site water park.
The easiest way to get there is the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo and from there it’s a straightforward 250 miles single day drive.

We stayed there in 2023 with our 5 year old daughter, don't remember them having a kids club and although there were a lot of British people there, there weren't actually that many British kids when we stayed.
I found there to be a lot of older folk there (not in a disrespectful way as I'm 54) and many of them seemed to store there caravans there and come for quite a long time during the summer, to be fair though although I have read reviews about it being very cliquey, the majority were really friendly.
Not sure if there is a restaurant there as it was closed when we were there, although there was a takeaway van on site every night (there is also a restaurant across the road from the sites main entrance.
Our pitch was fully serviced and absolutely massive, the beach is a drive and there was a lot of traffic around (especially in Royan that gets very busy, even in the late evening).
Although it was a decent site, I don't think we would ever return there and my biggest issue was the unsupervised pool, it was like the wild west at times and never really felt at ease with having such a young kid.
Might be worth looking at campsites in the Aquitaine region if the OP wants to be nearer Bordeaux.

At least 10 Yelloh Villages sites pretty close to Bordeaux including one just to the N of the orbital motorway
The one nearest to Bordeaux probably doesn't tick many of your boxes although it is a nice enough site and very convenient for visiting the city - no water slides and few large pitches. Not sure about a kids club as we were there out of high season. Proximity to the city is probably the only reason I'd use it TBH. I hope at some point Yelloh invest in it because the staff are lovely and the facilities that are there look as if they were costly when first put in place.
I think you will find that Yelloh village does not own or operate campsites. The campsites that company lists and advertise are independent and individually different - but they have each paid a fee to the Yelloh village company for marketing, advertisising and publicity.

Hi from previous experience I found that my daughter and her cousin never had problems making friends on campsites that weren't specifically English. It seemed that it was the adults that struggled with the language barrier.

I wonder where the OP decided to go? No response in 3 months to all these helpful comments.
Might not have decided yet - they were asking about August 26 - I know we never booked anywhere before January when we were restricted to school holidays.
However, totally agree about lack of feedback/thanks from the O/P. Only takes a minute or two.
