Ive had a look at the AHC. I think the same as you DK. My preference would be, is to go local, for my first time and pay the extra cost. It would save both time and hassle. I think one of my vets which I use can do the AHC for me.
It's the return trip, I need to look at for the worming, is it!! at

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
For the re-entry worming treatment, please bear in mind it needs to be administered at least 24h before your scheduled return to UK and no more than 5 days in advance.
I nearly got caught out in 2023 when I was in France in May and did not take into consideration their public holidays, and nearly missed the 24h window!
I would suggest for you to consult the campsite(s) where you'll be staying within 5 days of your return Channel crossing, and ask them to recommend local vets for return worm treatment.
Searching Google Map for nearby vets would also help to locate them. Feedbacks would help especially if they were left by Brits!

Good point DK. So I have up to 5 days before returning to the UK for the worming treatment. Once I have decided my return leg and which port and campsite. I will Google vets and worming treatments. Great information.
Thank you

I know there is a picturesque road through the Black Forest. Someone was telling me about it. I just can't think what its called.
The route looks good. Is it the 500 or part of it?
I have just returned from Morocco. Reason for late reply. Thank you

I'm going to echo what others have said - think about your itinerary CAREFULLY! Personal view is, way too ambitious!
I have experience of 'whistlestop' touring from when I did 2600 miles in 10 days touring (hire car) the sights of Western USA way back in the mid 1980's. Not camping (which may actually slow you down slightly), but just winging it with Motels found on arrival in each town. I'd NEVER do that sort of touring again! Pretty much involved drive one day, brief sightsee next day, etc. etc.
Despite only being in my 30's, it was exhausting and whilst it gave a sort of insight into places I may wish to return to (that can be achieved on the internet these days without ever leaving home - but no internet back in the 1980's!!!!), never really time to do anywhere justice. Felt a bit like glancing out of the left window to see this, then right window to see that, all whilst passing it by!
With France at least (never been to Germany or the others in your plan), on my countless trips over the years, I've always felt the urge to chill and slow down, and take in the frequently lovely views, rather than rattle through it at breakneck speed. For years now, we've forgone the Motorways and quick travel in favour of the A roads to 'pootle' and enjoy the scenery, and occasionally stop off to look at something of interest. Always felt those racing through with a distant destination in mind were missing out on a lot!
Can't help with emissions stickers outside France, but the CritAir is a no brainer IMHO, under £5 posted to UK from official French Gov website, just fit and forget there is any control. Crit Air has been voted out by the French Gov, but as far as I know it still applies and is required until the scheme is officially discontinued at some future date.
Thank you for your input Monty. With the NC500, i had to change my mindset to slow down and chill.
I will need to do the same with this tour and think about what i want to do.
I like: mountains, waterfalls, lakes, castle's and quaint villages or old towns.

Hi,
There’s a thread on vets at the top of this forum. It is labelled vets & pet passports but all those vets abroad have been recommended previously, last post was 2021

Hi, I had a wonderful time travelling around Germany; My OH came with me so I had to slum it in hotels instead. The trip was condensed down, as the time frame was shorter.
The trip over to the Heok of Holland was smooth. We did travel to Koblenz, and had a wonderful three night stay. Lochan had his early walks along the Rhein, as well as seeing The Deitch Eck, and the Old town, also the cruise on the Rhein, lunch then the cable car to the fort. We made our way just outside of Baden Baden to stay the night, we visited there for a few hours, before travelling to Moos. While there we popped into Switzerland, visiting the Rheinfalls, fantastic. A very memorable trip and loved the motorway system. Taking Lochan abroad was such a breeze.
Thank you everyone for you imput, I am already thinking about my next adventure.
