Wow! I'm amazed, I didn't even know it was a thing. It's not something I would have ever looked for on a campsite as I had never known such a thing existed. Even hotels didn't always used to have them. I know it's expected now in hotels but I've been to hotels long ago where the bathroom has been down the end of the corridor and shared by maybe 6 rooms. How times change.
First sites we stayed on only had a toilet block and a stand-pipe for water. These days all we want in addition is EHU, but we don't mind if it isn't a full 16A. We don't use that much anyway.
Luxury. When our family first started camping in 1961 it was far from unusual to find "toilet tents" or latties as they where commonly known. Basically a hole in the ground to squat over - take your own toilet roll - and a pile of earth and trowel in the corner to cover what you'd done.
Camping Interlude (Sunelia not Yelloh) on the Ile de Re has private shower / toilets / washing on camping pitches. We camped there for several years (before the private facilities although the communal ones were very good) and have rented their mobile homes a good ten times since.
50 yards from a long,gently slopimg, mainly sandy beach. Decent on site bar, restaurant, take away, shop (for bread, crossaints and similar - other stuff on the pricy side.
Less than 10 mins drive into village with indoor market (vg seafood) and small supermarket - 10 mins across the island to Intermarche. LeClercs and Lidl.
Busy and expensive in height of season, less so out of season.
