We arrived in Bilbao last Thursday. The crossing was like a mill pool nearly all the trip. The biggest surprise for me was apart from having our passports stamped we went straight through. I was expecting to be finger printed and photographed, but none of that was done. So no holdups at Portsmouth or Bilbao.
Photo and fingerprint registration terminals are slowly been rolled out, many busy airports aren't yet live.
Despite some reports we found it straightforwards, once we realised the system scanning face and fingerprints isn't the best. A few minutes having rescans was better time spent than at least an hour waiting in line at Malaga airport, we just went straight to egates.

I was expecting to have the fingerprints and photo taken a was pleasantly surprised not to have it done.
