It's a minefield, things like pre-exisiting medical conditions play a BIG role too, as well as age. We have been with AllClear in the past. Can't remember whether they do 63 days though. We are currently with the Caravan Club, who did different lengths of trip. However, at the moment they're in the process of setting up new underwriters, so although current policies remain in force, I don't think at the moment they have it in place yet.
There are policies specifically for us "older people", and longer trips, perhaps do a search on the internet?

Edited to ssay that some policies don't include Spain as standard for EU policies, I came across that when researching policies in the past. It had to be added, at extra cost of course!

Well, SAGA will almost certainly cover you. https://www.saga.co.uk/travel-insurance

Whenever I've got quotes from them in the past for car insurance, they've never been very competitive, but that was when I was at an age when just about every insurer would take me on and I could pick and choose! You are in a slightly different situation of having slightly limited choices, so SAGA may actually be a good option.

The comparison sites seem to offer a fair number of over 70s insurers:
https://www.confused.com/travel-insurance/over-70
https://www.gocompare.com/travel-insurance/senior-travel-insurance/
https://www.comparethemarket.com/travel-insurance/over-65/

There are still more insurers/brokers offering over 70's insurance, so don't really see cover being an obstacle, but the premium cost/cover limits may not suit you.

We were with Staysure but they limited trips for over 70s to 30 or 35 days (I can’t remember, but too short for my annual trip to see NZ family). They wanted £500+ last year & £700+ this year.
We opened a FlexPlus account with Nationwide instead: we pay in £18 pm and that includes travel insurance for 30 days (also mobile phone insurance & an AA equivalent which we’re not using. No fee for withdrawing cash abroad.) I then paid very little extra to make it 45 days (varies by trip location: 3 bands, including USA in worldwide band was the most expensive); next amount is 60 days, I think; I can’t remember if they go up to 75. I had one minor health issue & paid a small amount extra for that. You do need to be comfortable doing online stuff as you can’t arrange it by phone; we did the forms at our local Nationwide, a member of staff lingered nearby in case something wasn’t so clear.

Dai,   The channel tunnel company sells travel insurance for those who travel with them and their restrictions are less strict than some other insurers. Try them.

We used to have the nationwide plus account specifically for the travel insurance. But then they decided we were over their age limit for insurance so closed that account. We had already been advised to keep our normal account open so that when we reached the age limit we could just revert back.
At the moment we are in switzerland on a rail tour and have insured with avanti.

We have been with Nationwide for some years.
I'm in my 80's and they still cover us. Obviously have to pay some extra, but they will cover ... and we do 60 days plus.

Nationwide changed to Aviva for the FlexPlus account travel insurance, that removed the previous age limit.
