Does anyone know if you can exchange an older Campingaz 907 bottle bought in UK with a GB stamp, in France?

Yes you can. Generally place to exchange them is at large supermarkets like Leclerc or Carrefour. Last year exchanges were about 23€.

So long ago now (decades), memory is pretty vague, but certainly exchanged a UK acquired 907 for a refill in a French supermarket, no difficulties as I recall, which can only be good as my French is pretty 'merde', and any exchange involving debate probably wouldn't have gone through!

Even in France Campingaz 907 refill is over priced, I somtimes think the French invented Campingaz for foriegn visitors, having said that I have been using them for years, but now I have an empty le cube cylinder which came with clip on 27mm regulator and hose, picked up from Ebay for 99p, but I had to travel 10 miles to collect the thing.

Anyway I think I will get a return on my 99p investment after the first refill, the le cube is about the same diameter as a 907 and just 10cm more in height.

The Le Cube (Butane) holds 6kg of gas, compared to the 907 2.75kg, but here is the thing, the Le Cube refill is cheaper than the Campingaz, which in effect makes the Le Cube better than half price of the 907.

We also swapped over to Le Cube several years ago for use in France - much better deal than Camping gaz.
