Forgive me if there has been a posting on this subject before, does anyone know of any good campsites in the Cork/Kerry area? If its raining we will do B & B!

Hi Ladybird, Can recomend Eagle Point site Balylickey near Bantry West Cork (reviewed by me on this site) also Flemmings White Bridge at Killarney, both super sites and recomended also by the Caravan Club.
Last year, we stayed in Kenmare campsite in Kerry. Beautiful view from pitch 21! Kenmare is apparently a lot less commercialised than Killarney. Despite the very heavy rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the location.

We stayed at Flemmings White Bridge Killarney. Very nice well organised site within walking distance of Killarney town centre and the race course.
On the whole we found camping in Ireland of a far greater standard than England. Most people in the campsites were from europe not from Ireland or England. All very nice would love to go again soon.
hi,I,ve just read your post and would have to agree with Tone both those sites are good.I live in Cork so have camped in both.If you drop in to any tourist office when you arrive and pick up a copy of the Caravan and Camping Guide you will get all the details about sites and they are graded according to standard.Kerry is a beautiful county but weather is not always the best. However hopefully the exchange rate will go some way to compensate for. that.
hope you have a great holiday
