We are off to La Garangeoire in a few weeks time. We have booked up with Keycamp and wondered if anyone knows if their pitches are as big as the others on the campsite or do they squash more of theirs together.
Thanks

Was there two years ago and going again in a couple of weeks. From what I remember Keycamp Mobiles were pretty well squasher together, older pitches, constant use.
We had a Eurocamp that year (mobile) and it was overlooking a large green field / play area. We are tenting this year and would love to be pitched alongside this big field with a few tents dotted around it.
As you walk past the offices, down the road and into the left and down another bit.
We went keycamp at half term (mobile home) - our pitch was enormous but some mobile home pitches were a bit more squashed (maybe they were bigger mobiles) The ready erected tent pitches were lovely, the touring pitches the best of all but the site itself is fantastic so I shouldn't worry too much about pitch size -none that I saw were small enough to be a problem. I'm sure you will have a great time it is lovely countryside - Lac de Jauntey is great for a walk or fishing, there is lots to do around and about, the beaches were lovely sand and the sea was already warming up in May. I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't have a fantastic time.
Hi.... just returned from the park having sat in the sun there for 2 weeks where it got to 36.......I had my own van but the pitches you refer to were close by .....they are big .....in fact this site has the biggest pitches you will find anywhere on the Vendee . I have been there many times and it is a firm favorite with us .......the only thing that dissapointed me this year was the price of the house white plonk in the poolside bar restaurant ...a large caraf was 10 euros 50 and was not priced in the menu . The sea is warm ....went to the local beach and into the surf and for me to go in it has to be warm.....enjoy.
Take some ear plugs !........... the crickets have been practasing this year to get the sound levels up .......had one in the awning somewhere ....every time we turned a light on .....it started.........I was convinced it had a megaphone the thing was so loud ......................all part of the holiday and the climate......cuckoos by day .....cicadas by night ....... thats the Vendee this time of the year.........
Must be a good site this as I've tried to book for next August and they have e-mailed me back to say full until 9th August but to try again after 15th November (don't know why the 15th - perhaps that is the date provisional bookings have to be confirmed and deposits paid ?)
